LOOK AT THE WORLD: AFRICA AND ASIA. CONTINUED Automatic translate
Two exhibitions, dedicated to the beauty and uniqueness of African and Asian countries, British and American photographers and artists, were extended until March 28 (inclusive) in the Exposed art center (31G Shabolovka St.). The project was organized with the support of the magazine "Around the World". Free admission.
The double exhibition “Window to Africa” and “Fragments of Asia” began on November 13, 2014. The exhibitions were supposed to last until February 8, but due to the great interest shown in the exhibition and the constantly increasing number of visitors, it was decided to extend it work.
Part of the exhibition, “Window to Africa,” presents unusual photographs of John Kenny, telling about the proud and strong people living in the harsh conditions of the African continent. John’s work has been featured at many international fairs, in newspapers and magazines, and at Sotheby’s in New York.
In parallel, the exhibition "Fragments of Asia" demonstrates a number of artistic photographs, paintings and furniture that convey the beauty and tranquility of the world’s most energetic continent. Here are exhibited the work of local artisans, as well as British and American photographers and artists, telling about different Asian countries: Burma, Indonesia, Vietnam, India. Among the authors: James Sparshat, Rachel Dalzell, Monica Denevan.
Exposed founder Ken Climie said: “Africa and Asia were not chosen as themes for our two exhibitions. The countries of these parts of the world are charged with special energy and heat. I really like traveling and bringing art objects from different countries. And I like to share with the audience what they have not yet seen. ”
