THE GOLD OF JUSTICE
Human understanding of justice is clouded by wounded self-esteem and unjustified ambitions. The work of the ego within us is insatiable and constant, and any thought about a flawed social structure inevitably includes, however subtly, an acute cry of irritation from the ego: I am not heard, I am not valued, I am not understood... Nevertheless, it is better to have some idea of justice than to believe that this concept belongs to the realm of myths.
The human brain cannot contain the concept of God, but what we can grasp from its radiant height is quite enough to perceive light, and justice is one of those waves.
And the transcendent post-mortem ethical mathematics will offer something that would seem amazing to us.
Again, a bell ringing out covers the soul with waves of anxiety: the robbery of wars, the poverty of the elderly, idol worship – and again, the feeling of justice, encrypted in our consciousness, no matter what it may be, is indignant, torturing the question once more: And what can I do?
Much. Do not violate the semantic balance with thought or deed; do not violate it, thereby touching upon the true, mystical gold of justice. You do not violate it – it will not violate you. Two are stronger.
Efforts that bring us closer to the realm of light cannot be grains scattered on stones...

The other figures are actively engaged in drawing a net overflowing with fish from the water. Their postures suggest exertion and surprise; some lean into their work, while others appear momentarily stunned by the abundance of their catch. One fisherman, positioned at the bow of the boat, is particularly striking – he stands with his back to the viewer, burdened by a large sack slung over his shoulder, his gaze directed towards the seated figure. This positioning creates a sense of depth and directs attention toward the central interaction.
The landscape backdrop contributes significantly to the narrative’s impact. A distant town nestles along the shoreline, punctuated by masts of ships anchored in the bay. The atmospheric perspective employed – the softening of details and lightening of colors with distance – suggests vastness and a sense of divine intervention extending beyond the immediate scene.
The color palette is dominated by warm tones – oranges, yellows, and browns – which emphasize the physicality of the fishermen and the richness of their experience. These are balanced by the cooler blues of the seated figure’s robes and the expanse of water, creating visual harmony. The use of light is also noteworthy; it illuminates the figures in the boat while leaving the background slightly shadowed, further emphasizing their importance within the narrative.
Subtly, the painting explores themes of faith, abundance, and obedience. The fishermens astonishment at the miraculous catch can be interpreted as a visual representation of encountering the divine. The seated figure’s gesture implies guidance and trust, while the burdened fisherman’s posture suggests a willingness to carry out instructions, even when weighed down by responsibility. The distant town and ships hint at a wider world touched by this extraordinary event, suggesting its significance extends beyond the immediate participants.
