Soviet landscape painting of the 60s - 70s of the last century from the private collection of A.I. Segin

From March 14 to April 6 in the exhibition hall "On Kashirka" (Ak. Millionshchikova St., 35, building 5), the exhibition "Soviet landscape painting of the 60s - 70s of the last century" from the private collection of A.I. Segin.

The exhibition operates not so much with styles as with personalities in art: the works of outstanding Soviet painters - honored artists of the Russian Federation - Nikolai Burdastov, Yuri Vnodchenko, Leonid Rudnev and Mikhail Utkin from the collection of the famous collector Alexander Ivanovich Segin - the Russian Realism gallery are presented.

The exhibition will feature over one hundred works of honored artists of the Russian Federation, created in the 60s - 70s. Twentieth century. It is difficult to overestimate the contribution that Russian artists of this period made to the treasury of the national treasure, this is truly the “Golden Fund” of Russia. Eternal human values have always been and remain the motivation for creativity for artists of a realistic direction in painting: beauty and kindness, sincerity and faith, love and compassion.

The objective of this project is not just to show or “re-read” the late Soviet realistic landscape painting of the second half of the twentieth century, but to change the scale of its perception, give a new sound and open up new possibilities for interpretation, as well as emphasize the personalization of the collector’s personality, combining his obsession, passion and service to art with the individual art world of each of the artists represented and the attraction of their organic, holistic, art-charged art. Each of them has their own style of writing, but all of them are united by love for their native nature and for the person living on this earth.

Collecting works of art at all times has been the destiny of the elect. Alexander Ivanovich Segin is no exception. For many artists, he became not only a close friend, but also a demanding teacher - mentor. Many works could be lost or not created at all if it were not for his timely support and participation.

Being an artist, he is well versed in painting and does not tolerate any falsity in the image - this is the reason for such a thorough and unbiased selection of paintings in his collection.

Over the years, he has been conducting a great and fruitful work, introducing specialists and the public to his own collection. Artists and collectors of different generations, Alexander Ivanovich enjoys well-deserved authority and respect.

Since 1968, Alexander Ivanovich has already held about 400 exhibitions, not only in Russia, but also abroad - in many countries of the world. For his contribution to culture, for the popularization of the school of Russian realistic painting, Alexander Segin, in 2004, was awarded the Diploma and Medal of VDNH, and in 2005 became the P.M. Tretyakova. Biography of Segin Alexander Ivanovich in 2009 was included in the WHO IS WHO encyclopedia in Russia.
