In Novosibirsk, opened an art exhibition "Red Avenue"

NOVOSIBIRSK. Until the 31st of October, visitors to the Novosibirsk Museum of Art are waiting to get acquainted with the large-scale exposition of the Red Prospect competitive exhibition. With the help of this exhibition, held with the support of the Novosibirsk Regional Ministry of Culture, its organizers tried to fully reflect the work of contemporary artists who work from the Urals to the eastern borders.

Such a competitive exhibition is held in Novosibirsk for the second time. This year, the exhibition committee reviewed over 1,400 works submitted by the authors to participate in the exhibition. All works were created in 2011-2014. After selection, about 450 works of various genres of art reached the exhibition halls.

Picturesque and graphic works of Siberian and Far Eastern artists occupied four floors of the exhibition halls of the museum, located in the building on the street. Sverdlov. In the same rooms, sculptures created by masters of these regions were also placed. The exhibition’s exposition was supplemented by leading artists of Kyrgyzstan invited to the event as honored guests with their artworks.

The works of artists will be considered by a competitive jury, which includes professional art historians and eminent artists who arrived from different cities of Russia. The best works will be marked by a kind of "grand prix" of the exhibition - the Prize named after N. D. Gritsyuk, an artist whose name is a cult for Novosibirsk.

The publication of a full-color catalog is planned, where it will be possible to see the works presented at the exhibition. As part of the exhibition, new book editions will be presented, including a unique album, where 640 pages represent the artistic life of Novosibirsk since 1926.
