The sixth season of the Manuscript of the Year Award has been summed up

ST. PETERSBURG. As part of the International Book Salon in St. Petersburg on May 24 at the Rodina Cinema Center, the Manuscript of the Year award ceremony was held. The award, presented for the sixth time, is awarded for the best manuscripts of novice authors.

The winner of the Grand Prix of the prize was the young Petersburg writer Sofya Yanovitskaya for the Trinity manuscript. Sophia was awarded a laureate diploma and a valuable prize, but the main award for her was the right to publish her work in one of the most prestigious publishing houses in Russia - AST.

Also, winners of the prizes won by the jury of the editorial team of Astrel-SPb publishing house, led by the editor-in-chief Alexander Prokopovich, also received their rights to publish. So, the first place was awarded to Andrey Kokulin with the manuscript “Let’s Live”, the second place was awarded to Natalya Volnistaya for the work “On the Love of Near and Far”, and the third place was taken by Alisa Rekunova, who arrived from Tallinn for delivery. Her work, "Life Among People," has already been sent to the publishing department and will soon be released in the new cycle, "Secondary School No."

In addition, as part of the ceremony, the jury announced the winners in special nominations. “For a brilliant idea” was awarded to Svetlana Volkova, whose work “No More Hints” will also appear in the aforementioned “school” cycle soon. The jury recognized the “best children’s book” by the manuscript “Old women fell from the sky” by Maria Rupasova.

It is worth noting that most of the works that received awards in the sixth season of the award are manuscripts for children and adolescents. Soon, the works of the winners of the Manuscript of the Year will be able to appreciate not only the jury, but also ordinary readers.
