In the palace on Nevsky Prospekt, the anniversaries of Liszt and Gilels were celebrated

ST. PETERSBURG. In the Beloselsky-Belozersky palace, a concert of young musicians was held in honor of the anniversaries of Gilels and Liszt.

The Palace of Princes Beloselsky-Belozersky, designed by the famous architect Andrei Ivanovich Shtakenschneider, is one of the most beautiful buildings on Nevsky Prospekt. In a baroque house with luxurious decoration, balls were held, which members of the royal family attended with pleasure, and musical evenings with the participation of famous composers. The palace has retained its "ceremonial-entertaining" function to this day. Various festivals, exhibitions, concerts are regularly held here. On October 19, the Mirror Hall, known for its excellent acoustics, celebrated the centennial of the great pianist Emil Gilels and the 205th birthday of Ferenc Liszt. The Hungarian composer performed in the Beloselsky-Belozersky palace during the first "tour" in St. Petersburg in 1842. The concert program included works by Chopin, Ravel and List.

The concert "Young Performers of Russia" was attended by pianists Dina Ivanova, Andrei Reshetnik and Nikita Kaplunov. Despite their young age, each of them has victories and diplomas of prestigious music competitions in Russia, Spain, Montenegro, Germany, Estonia, and Russia.
