The festival "Baltic Seasons" opened in Kaliningrad for the eleventh time

KALININGRAD. For the eleventh time, the Baltic Seasons Art Festival has opened in Kaliningrad. The first performance presented in the framework of the Baltic Seasons was the performance “The House of Bernard Alba” shown on the stage of the regional drama theater.

This performance was staged by director Eugene Marcelli in the oldest Russian theater - Yaroslavl drama. F. Volkova. This year, he became a member of the Golden Mask program and was awarded the highest theater award in four categories. In the evening, on August 30, the “Theater of Bernard Alba” was able to see the theatergoers of Kaliningrad.

The next performance - the staging of the capital’s "Youth Theater" "Rothschild’s Violin" was presented to the audience on September 1. The directorial work of Kama Ginkas and the design of the performance by Russian artist Sergei Barkhin were also awarded the Golden Mask Prize. The awards were received by the play in two categories - Sergey Barkhin became the "Best Artist", and the director’s work became the "Best Performance of the Big Form".

In total, seven performances performed by artists of theaters in Moscow and St. Petersburg were selected for showing in Kaliningrad. Each of them is of the highest artistic quality. However, Kaliningrad theater-goers look forward to September 5th with particular impatience. On this day they will see the performance “Kant” staged by the director Mindaugas Karbauskis in the theater named after Mayakovsky.

Kaliningrad is the birthplace of the great philosopher, so the inhabitants of the city have a special, almost kindred relationship with Kant, and there are many admirers of his worldview. The production is performed by the favorite artists - S. Nemolyaeva, I. Kostolevsky, V. Filipov.

At the end of the festival, the program “The Future of the Theater” will show performances staged by students of Schukinki and the Higher Theater School from Poland.
