In the Bryansk drama, the new season will open with the musical comedy "Cupids in the Snow"

BRYANSK. In the regional theater. A. Tolstoy October 11, spectators will come to the first performance of the new season. They will be the play "Cupids in the Snow", the premiere of which closed the last theater season. This musical comedy, directed by the director from St. Petersburg Boris Gurevich, is an authorial work created by Julius Kim and Leonid Eidlin. It is based on the plot of the famous play Fonvizin’s "Foreman".

Although among the works of Fonvizin his “Undergrowth” is better known, however, the “Foreman”, barely having time to appear, turned into a real sensation in the country. This play was rewritten, passed on to each other. The title of "foreman" began to cause so much ridicule that Emperor Paul the First abolished it in the army.

Boris Gurevich approached the production of the play in a non-standard way - staging a performance in the musical vaudeville genre, he made it the main theme of love. This feeling pervades the entire performance, acquiring various forms - from comic to lyrical. The composer from Moscow Grigory Auerbach became the author of the musical component of the play. On the day of the premiere, the performance was enthusiastically received by the audience, many viewers expressed a desire to once again see this non-standard statement of the classics.

Before the opening of the season, a press conference was traditionally held. Yuri Poyarkin, director of the regional drama, told reporters about pleasant surprises waiting for the Bryansk audience in the opening season. Before the first, a little more than a month remains. On November 15, the premiere of "Zoykin’s apartment" is planned. The director from Belgorod Vladimir Borodin is working on it. The performance is staged as a tragicomedy - this is the most complex version of theatrical genres. After the premiere, the preparation of the New Year musical will begin - in the repertoire of the Bryansk Theater will appear "Old Man Hottabych."
