Tours of the Golden Mask festival program in Krasnoyarsk opened with the performance "Wolves and Sheeps"

KRASNOYARSK. For the first time, the theater-goers of the city got the opportunity to see performances recognized as the best in Russia. Each of them was a Golden Mask Prize laureate, or a nominee of this most prestigious among Russian theater awards. Since 1993, in Moscow, performances of Russian theaters have been shown, which are among the groups applying for the Golden Mask award in various nominations.

Each year, the owners of the Golden Mask go on tour, presenting their theatrical works awarded with the Prize in Russian cities. Over the years, the best performances participating in the festival’s tour program were seen by spectators from more than thirty cities. They came to more than seventy theaters, which became the owners of the award.

In the current year of 2015, the Golden Mask program was shown to residents of Omsk. Theatricals of Ulyanovsk and Petrozavodsk, Dimitrovgrad, Kostomuksha and Cherepovets are already waiting for them. In Krasnoyarsk on July 2, viewers have already seen the first performance, which arrived in the city as part of this wonderful festival program.

They became the play by A. Ostrovsky “Wolves and Sheep” performed by the artists of the “Workshop of Peter Fomenko”. For spectators who failed to get into the theater to them. Pushkin on the first day of the festival, the performance will be shown again, on July 3rd. Until July 14, viewers will see "The Good Man from Cezuan" staged by the Moscow Theater.
