ART GEOGRAPHY OF THE KALUGA REGION AND THE CITY OF KALUGA

The project covers 89 regions of the country, providing the opportunity to present works of art from each region in museum exhibitions. Participants in the "Art Geography of Russia" are published in the 89-volume "Encyclopedia of Russia’s Splendor." Each volume of this encyclopedia is dedicated to a specific region, republic, oblast, or okrug.

The exhibition showcases works of art reflecting the cultural richness of both the Kaluga Region and several other regions of Russia. It showcases historical events and achievements, as well as unique lifestyles and the beauty of nature and architecture. Each exhibit is accompanied by information, allowing visitors from other regions to better understand the cultural diversity and history of Russia’s peoples.

The exhibition includes several thematic sections:

• "ARCHITECTURE": The study of urban landscapes and architectural forms;
• "NATURE": Exploring the beauty and uniqueness of the region;
• "PERSONALITIES": Personalities who have influenced the culture of the region;
• "HISTORY": Illustrations of historical events through painting.

The goal of the "Art-Geographies of Russia" project is to publish an 85-volume illustrated encyclopedia of Russia. Each volume is dedicated to a single region, republic, oblast, or okrug. The encyclopedia includes artworks that visualize the region’s cultural heritage — its historical events, significant achievements, distinctive way of life, and the unique beauty of its nature and architecture. Each illustration is accompanied by historical and local history information, allowing readers from other regions and abroad to gain a closer understanding of the multifaceted culture and great history of the peoples living in the Russian Federation.
