Third Moscow Festival-Marathon of Unusual Theaters "Ladder to Children"

On September 9, 2017, the third festival-marathon of unusual theaters “Staircase” will take place in Moscow. This year it is fully dedicated to children.

The festival “Ladder” has been held in Moscow since 2015 with great success. Last year, the festival was visited by about 9 thousand Muscovites, and in the flash mob "Circle of Dreams" at the same time joined hands and released more than 1,500 balloons into the sky. By order of the Mayor of Moscow in 2017, the festival-marathon of unusual theaters was included in the program of Moscow City Day.

Every year, the Staircase Festival has its own theme. In 2015, it was dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Army Theater building, last year it was held under the motto "Dreaming is not harmful." This year, the organizers decided to dedicate the festival to children. On September 9, children’s performances will be shown on the square and stairs in front of the theater and various workshops will be held, including Masterslavl from the city of masters. Children will be fed ice cream and give out balloons. In the final, the audience will become participants in a grandiose paper show and the children’s “Dream Circle”, when hundreds of balloons with children’s wishes will fly into the sky at the same time.

“We decided to make the“ Ladder to the Children ”, because this year for the first time we participate in the main program of the City Day at two venues at once - in front of the Army Theater and on Tverskaya Street with the performance“ Once Upon a Time ”. In addition, our theater took a course towards attracting a new audience: along with the opening of a new experimental space, a subscription for schoolchildren and new programs for children are offered. Our children’s “Staircase” is an action in this new theater program, ”said Ivan Chursin, director of the Army Theater.
