Konstantin Sukhoplyuev was born and raised in St. Petersburg in a creative family. From an early age, he knows the smell of oil paints, since Constantine’s father is also engaged in painting. The creative environment, the passion for music, the very spirit of Petersburg became for the artist the basis for the formation of his own style and pushed him to creative experiments.

Despite the fact that Konstantin did not receive a higher art education, he is in no way inferior in sense of color, composition and courage of pictorial decisions to other, even very eminent, artists. Rather, on the contrary, it stands out among the artistic conjuncture and artsy academism in its directness and expression. The works of Konstantin are not only original, but also extremely interesting. Whether it is a flower lying or the streets of St. Petersburg - everything in his paintings is in motion, which is subject to a clear, harmonious rhythm.

Many art historians call his paintings musical, and this is not surprising, since Konstantin, along with painting, plays music and plays various instruments: guitar, trumpet, piano. On his canvases you can often see portraits of musicians and musical instruments themselves.

The exposition of the exhibition "Close to the Sun" includes the works of the artist of recent years, previously not presented to the general public. Representing famous performers, the author forms a certain collective image of the many-sided Musician, creator and artist. With his characteristic expression and dynamic composition, he seems to convey the movement of music, skillfully combining it with color.
