The endless path, leading along a long road, will eventually lead this sorrowful man, with his dejected gait, to his gray house, waiting for its owner. But only one dog can bear such a human burden as sadness. This kind dog, trying to cheer up its master even a little, will soon become despondent itself and be ready to walk along the endless path, leaving sadness on the trail between bright yet warm trees!
September, dont take your wings away.
Your wings are orange in color.
Delay your last day,
And give me this moment of pause.
Hesitate and dont rush into sleep,
Consumed by the desire for gifts.
As before, squander your wealth,
Spoil all the growing trees.
These are poems by Bella Akhmadulina. Is there a better way to say it? And this painting is simply an illustration of a wonderful poem.
I REALLY LOVED ALL THE PAINTINGS BY THIS INCREDIBLY TALENTED ARTIST! YOU CAN SEE A STORY IN EVERY PAINTING! Autumn is beautiful in its own way, and melancholic moods during this time of year are a common occurrence. Its always a little sad and gloomy in the fall...
You cannot comment Why?
The avenue itself is wet, reflecting the light sources above and creating a shimmering pathway that draws the viewer’s eye toward the vanishing point. Two figures are visible walking along this path; their forms are indistinct, appearing as dark silhouettes against the illuminated ground. Their presence suggests a narrative of companionship or shared journey, though their anonymity allows for broader interpretation.
The lighting is artificial, likely street lamps positioned beyond the frame, casting an almost theatrical glow upon the scene. This illumination contributes to the dreamlike quality of the work, blurring the boundaries between reality and imagination. The darkness surrounding the avenue creates a sense of enclosure, intensifying the focus on the illuminated path and the figures within it.
Subtly, theres a feeling of melancholy interwoven with the vibrancy. The autumnal colors, while beautiful, also evoke themes of transience and loss. The indistinct nature of the figures hints at a certain isolation or introspection, despite their apparent togetherness. The overall effect is one of quiet contemplation, inviting the viewer to consider the passage of time and the beauty found within moments of solitude and connection.
