TREES
1
How the trees appear charred,
As frost has covered them all.
And visually, there is no movement,
A fine layer covers everything.
The trees reach with their branches,
Intricately intertwined,
Towards the celestial blue, so that I may
Not forget that spring will come too.
2
The light green foliage of April,
Possesses a delicate stickiness.
If you dont feel it, your soul aching,
You wont perceive much else…
3
Do you desire solidity? Take it:
And dubloons can be found among the trees.
Memorize the path –
The maples of this place reveal
A message of beauty. A rustling path.
The larch glows with a gentle yellow.
Its important for the spiritual athlete –
Everything that height offers.

Could have helped, but didnt –
A black ember in your heart…
That a piece of bark darkens
In the corner of your heart.
What do you read on the bark?
What – trusted friend -
Do you live as you should?
Further, a period. Or a dash.
If its a dash – then you can change
Your life – so that you may live
More brightly. But if its a period –
Nothing worse could be.
You cannot comment Why?
This painting, Souvenir of Mortefontaine by Camille Corot, is a quintessential example of Barbizon School landscape painting. The scene depicts a serene natural setting with a focus on light and atmosphere.
