She was beautiful, but her death in 1924 remains shrouded in mystery. Did she drown herself, or could someone have gotten rid of her? She knew so many secrets...
Is this the Lidochka Ivanova who drowned in 1924? They say she was killed by the Bolsheviks (reds), although at that time, the White forces were just as capable of such an act (if not more so). Or maybe she actually drowned on her own.
Red ones? No, that wasnt their method. But the White movement might have been capable of it. Lenin had just died, and they were trying to test the strength of Soviet power. And Ivanova was friends with a Chekist (secret police officer), so she could have told him what her intellectual friends were saying. Then, they invited her for a boat ride... But yes, an accident is also possible, 50/50.
