картина фигня такую каждый нарисует
хы... ну взял бы да нарисовал.
No one will ever be able to recreate it; it requires being present in that specific time, which is only possible for speculative scientists.
В картине видна жизнь крестьян: зажиточных и бедных.
Ненавижу тех, кто унижается!
You guys are so clueless! Honestly, Tatiana Adamova (guest), do you really think a male peasant willingly humiliates himself?!
Lana, youre right, looking at the comments makes you feel despair about how foolish people have become. They say the painting is terrible and even add some kind of hatred to it; I dont understand what they see in the painting. Besides, does it really matter whether something good or bad is depicted in art? For an artist, all aspects of life are interesting; he admires everything and can subtly feel and convey it, as has been done in this work. But those who have neither intelligence nor talent only know how to hate everything out of their own stupidity.
Tatyana, regarding the painting depicting someone dying, would you write that you hate when people die? In art, all aspects of life are interesting, not just the positive and correct ones. And to those who say the painting is rubbish, I can only offer my sympathy. The problem isnt with the artist, who has conveyed the mood and emotions so subtly and deeply, but with those who cannot see the beauty, even in the less pleasant aspects of life that a true artist portrays.
Old people know that an iconic red corner shouldnt be by the door; instead, there should be a stove at the entrance, not the master bedroom. However, the emotions are accurate – the host is surprised...

The title, For the calculation (or For accounting), suggests a deeper subtext. The presence of the two men and the woman, in what seems to be a household setting, could imply a discussion about finances, debts, or a business matter. The man in the doorway, with his informal attire and hat in hand, might be arriving to settle an account or perhaps to request payment. The seated man could be the one responsible for the households finances, and the woman might be his wife or a relative involved in domestic affairs. The painting might be exploring themes of social class, economic realities, and the everyday interactions that define them within a traditional Russian context. The abundance of framed pictures, particularly the icons, could also allude to the moral or spiritual underpinnings of these financial dealings, suggesting that such matters are conducted within a framework of faith or community values.
