I.I. Levitan’s painting "Autumn Forest" was created in 1886. How good it is to observe autumn in the forest. The variegated attire on the trees and bushes is very much in harmony with nature. Description of Isaac Levitan’s painting The Autumn Forest
I.I. Levitan’s painting "Autumn Forest" was created in 1886. How good it is to observe autumn in the forest. The variegated attire on the trees and bushes is very much in harmony with nature. Looking into the depths of the forest, you can clearly see the black and dazzling white trunks of the trees. This emptiness and at the same time the luxury of color makes you think about the beautiful feeling - the lightness of the soul.
The artist in his early work shows how close nature is to him. The image of the forest presumably at noon represents the leaves in the autumn sunlight. Unusual silence. Only the rustle of the leaves makes you walk quietly, not looking under your feet.
The animals have already hidden, and the fallen leaves neatly cover the ground cover.
What is the landscape painter thinking about in this work? About high feelings or recalling a piece of childhood spent in his native small town. There is an awareness of a certain kindness and timidity. The presence of two colors of yellow and red conveys the whole mood of nature on this beautiful day.
It might be raining, but the leaves, hardly moving. It’s lonely somehow.
If you listen closely, there are thousands of sounds in the autumn forest trying to escape. They are so easy in perception that I want to stand for hours and listen to the chirping of birds that have not yet flown away, and the murmur of tree branches. Winter is coming, and the forest seems to be getting ready for sleep. It is a wonderful time to pick mushrooms - you should look closely at the mushrooms. Just red and yellow leaves have covered them with their canvas.
The painting "Autumn Forest" was painted by the artist in Moscow. Modern landscape studies were in fashion. An interesting fact is that the landscape was created from memory, and there were no sketches. The forest is so real, the charm of bright red tones remind of the future frosts. A peace of mind is created.
