Картину берёзовая роща И. И. Левитан писал в Подмосковье и на Волге в течение пяти лет. Картина привлекает внимание игрой света. Она переносит нас в солнечную берёзовую рощу. Берёза выбрана не случайно, потому что именно это дерево считается национальным символом. От самой картины исходит какой то таинственный свет и от этого на душе становится тепло и хорошо.
На переднем плане картины я вижу лето. На улице чудесный, спокойный, тихий день. Солнце светит ярко. Стоят красивые, кудрявые, белоствольные берёзы, пронизанные солнечным светом. Я вижу густой ковёр изумрудной травы, яркую зелень листвы. Автор чарует игрой красок. Такое ощущение, что это не картина, а фотография. Когда я смотрю на эту картину, то у меня сразу грустное настроение превращается в праздничное. Левитан умело использует яркие цвета. Чтобы передать красоту берёзовой рощи, художник выбрал самые простые цвета. Мне очень нравится эта картина. Она чудесная!

Люди, да что вы заладили "где сочинение, где сочинение?" неужели вы не видите, не чувствуете этого самого "сочинения"!?? Да вот же оно: в композиции, дорога ведущая в глубь, скрытая за рощей, мягкий второй план, небо в тоне с рощей дальнего плана... и вообще, все настроение картины... неужели здесь нет содержания? Гениальность заключается в непринужденной подаче обыденного, привычного нам, тонко и одухотворенно, без напряжения "трагической складки" на лбу;). В этом Левитан блестящ!

Looking at the painting Birch Grove, you realize that Levitan is not just a famous Russian artist; he is a true master of pictorial expression. This landscape is both similar to and unlike the other paintings by the artist. It is remarkably calm, with no riot of colors, movement, or loud historical events. It is simply a piece of Russian nature, and nothing more.

When you look at this work, you begin to love your homeland with all your heart. After all, it is so beautiful even in its most ordinary guise. Before us, as if opens a window leading far away, into the heart of the Russian village, which is certainly hidden somewhere behind the grove, behind the next bend in the path. And this window has been opened by the artist, and we seem to be looking at the world through his eyes. It is unlikely that a carriage or horse ever traveled along these paths leading into the forest; they are barely wide enough for a lone pedestrian who has gone out to pick berries or mushrooms. The painting seems to depict early autumn: the trees are still green, the birches have not yet shed their attire, but in the grass here and there you can see brown spots from which modest blue flowers peek out, either bellflowers or cornflowers.

Levitans technique is precise, but at the same time somewhat careless. The painter seems to be saying to us: look, imagine, remember! Birch Grove is not like a photograph, and that is what makes it so good. When you look at it, you can dream and remember days spent in the countryside, imagining the scent of wildflowers that have not yet bloomed and fresh hay. For me, this is one of the best, most warm and lovely paintings by Levitan.

Картина известного художника Левитана поражает воображение. Первый взгляд видит только сказочную игру красок. Множество оттенков идеально сочетаются и живут каждый своей жизнью. Красочность и сочность березовой рощи, травы и дороги, передано более чем умело. Все буквально оживает на глазах. Оживает, чтобы дарить красоту и спокойствие.
Присмотревшись к картине поближе, обдумав ее содержание, понимаешь совершенно иное ее значение. Как же все таки прекрасна природа родного края. Березы спокойные и красивые, они символ нашей родины. Роща, тропа и спокойное небо над головой. Так и видишь себя неспешно шагающим по тропе. И жучка под ногами который поспешил удалится в заросли травы. Все настолько ярко и прекрасно, что картина оживает и рассказывает очень много, неспешно уводя в мир прекрасного.
Все с детства помнят свежий воздух, легкое дуновение ветра, тихий шепот березовых листочков и красоту обычного солнечного дня. Здесь все это есть! Здесь есть детство, легкость, красота.

Полотно далось Левитану не просто: художник потратил на создание “Березовой рощи” четыре года. Глядя на картину, понимаешь, почему написание полотна заняло столь длительное время: привычный русский пейзаж выглядит настолько живым, что умение автора просто поражает воображение!

Its simple – the painting was created at the end of the 18th century, towards the end of ILICHs life and work. He worked on it for quite some time, which was a long period even for a master, and as descendants and associates testify, this canvas was not easy to create. At times, he would come close to fainting, but he continued to pursue his single goal – to tell everything with just one brushstroke: to convey what weighs heavily on the heart, what defies words, what burns the soul and prevents the body from living more than 40 years.

So, stepping back 10-12 meters and squinting our eyes, we see GATES – gates into a wild and terrible 20th century. Very soon, a nightmare will begin on this beautiful land. Tens of millions of lives will be cut short in world wars and civil wars, in Nazi and Stalinist camps, temples and churches will be engulfed in flames, and tanks will first drive through these birch trees, and later the forest will simply become a synonym for money, just like the beast and the bird, and even fish and humans. One empire will replace another, and everything will collapse like a house of cards. People will seemingly all lose their minds at once, and even the plague of the 20th century wont help. ILICH felt all this, but foreseeing his imminent demise, he only depicted the path up to the threshold – into that hell on earth. The distant background is almost completely obscured by branches, but the future is already inevitable; the mechanism of radical change cannot be stopped, even by jumping into it. Very soon, in this little forest, Chekists will shoot a priest, and then another 15 people, followed by a family – a priest with children. Very soon, bombs will rain down on this clearing, and a deep and long anti-tank trench will be dug. Then everything will be covered in mines and human remains, and a Gulag will be built on top. Thats why theres a tremor in the hand and an careless brushstroke. Thats why the sky is hidden – hes afraid of the sky.
