MAGDALENE
Tears dull the sight,
But open inner vision.
And for Magdalene, without a doubt,
All reality in the present is a myth.
She washes feet without sandals.
What does she see? A troop of riders,
She clearly sees the distant future,
A cross that rushes – towards the center of the world.
The heart is the core of the body. The word
Is the core of life. Word made flesh.
She washes feet... But sternly,
The future is not the Lord at all.
Broadly, the Lord will stretch out his hands,
To wash away the old world with love.
So that, having experienced holy torments,
Sin can be overcome, and destruction averted.
For after the crucifixion – comes resurrection,
And Magdalene will grow in heart and soul
To comprehend heights
That are incomprehensible to us.
