The expressive means of the drawing are a point and a line, which can be either independent or combined into groups, that is, spots. The drawing has no other expressive means.

Spots have a number of properties. They can be dark, light, red, symmetrical, contrasting, in balance, and so on.

Does line and point exist in nature? They do not exist, because the line and the point are abstract concepts. (A line is a line connecting two points). There is a form in space that we separate from space with a line. The form has a volume, and this three-dimensionality of the form we convey again with the help of a line.

In the process of working on the design of objects, proportional relationships and the position of these objects in space, the line seems to be imperceptibly improved. She became more accurate, more direct and even aesthetically more attractive.

Many lines of construction are woven into a single carpet; True, this carpet has a significant drawback - monotony, uniformity. This is caused by the fact that when drawing an object in the space of a sheet with a line, creating a third dimension, we did not take into account that the line itself is in this space. As you move farther away from us in the depth of the picture plane, that is, the sheet plane, the line becomes less active and thinner - this is the “fog effect”. Applying such an effect so far only to the line, already at this stage of the drawing we will get a state of aerial perspective, the linear drawing will gain depth. The lines of the first plan of the drawing, as you approach it, are strengthened with a pencil, and the lines of the second plan of the drawing, as you move away from you, are weakened by an elastic band.
