A new album from the series "Famous Artists of Belarus"

On May 28, in Minsk, in the Vankovich House Museum, a presentation of the new album from the series “The Glorious Workers of Belarus” was held. The album contains the selected works of the famous artist - Valentin Vankovich (1800–1842).

The master created a series of portraits of famous people, including his friend Adam Mickiewicz, one of the greatest Polish poets of the Romantic era. Written in the style of romanticism, they create a halo of mystery around their characters. Emphasize the depth of soul of every person captured on canvas.

The feeling of some transcendental sadness remains after watching his paintings. For example, “Portrait of A. Mickiewicz on the Ayu-Dag Rock” depicts him as a laid-back dreamer immersed in the world of his dreams. The work is as poetic as Adam Mickiewicz himself. In another portrait, “A Woman Launches Solitaire,” his brush caught the striking contrast between the physical and the spiritual, which is characteristic of refined natures. A fragile woman, dressed in luxurious robes, is engaged in idle work, but instead of fun, her eyes are full of longing. And so literally with every portrait of Valentin Vankovich. Deep psychologism and a keen understanding of people made him one of the most famous Belarusian artists.

The presentation of the album took place in a relaxed atmosphere of a singing violin, guitar and cymbals near the sculpture, which depicts V. Vankovich (composition by V. Slobodchikov “Artist’s Morning”). The organizers preferred to remain silently silent about which artist will be dedicated to the next album of the series “The Famous Masters of Belarus”.
