"Image of equilibrium" in a changing world every second

In Kiev, preparations for the exhibition “The Image of Equilibrium”, which will open at the center of art by Jacob Greter on July 13, have completed. The leitmotif of the exposition is the artist’s search for a delicate balance that allows a person to live in this world. Artists Anastasia Kraineva, Ilya Prunenko, Maria Shkarupa try to demonstrate the most characteristic features of our time in the paintings presented, which, on the one hand, push him to constant changes, and on the other, remain a reliable support for maintaining the balance between the opposing forces of Good and Evil.

Anastasia Kraineva in her works is the most lyrical. She demonstrates her vision of nature in every picture. Thanks to which ordinary landscapes are filled with philosophical content.

Maria Shkarupa is more inclined to psychological searches, diving deep into herself, other people and things. Thanks to this, she was able to create a series of works “Lost People”, with the help of which the artist reflects on the meaning of everything and the reasons that force people to leave the path of their Destination and lose their own “I”.

Ilya Prunenko’s paintings are a confrontation of physical and spiritual energy. A wild beast tearing its prey, than not an allegory between the struggle of body flesh with the needs of an eternal soul? The artist’s spiritual searches are constantly confronted with the repulsive sides of life, which, on the one hand, undermines internal forces, and on the other, directs them to overcome their own sins. However, the precariousness of the “Feelings of Christianity” suggests that most people find balance in the struggle, and not in the calm view of the beautiful.
