The Tretyakov Gallery presents an exhibition of Suprematism "There Will Be Three of Us"

On September 6, the Moscow public was able to get acquainted with a wonderful collection of works by the three founders of Suprematism - Kazimir Malevich, Ilya Chashnik and Nikolai Suetin. The exhibition, which runs until November 25, presents works not known to the general public.

The exposition provided by the Sepherot Foundation, reveals the process of the emergence of a new direction of art, from full commitment to the original idea to its transformation and transformation through the prism of personal characteristics of each member of the creative community.

Kazimir Malevich became the ideological inspirer of the movement, turning Vitebsk into the "capital" of Suprematism. The exhibition presents his early works from the “White Series”, which were strongly influenced by modernism, impressionism and symbolism. As well as paintings of a later time, including the first works made in a suprematist form.

Chashnikov and Suetin were the most active students of the master who "promoted art to the people", doing easel and decoration art. However, they did not follow him blindly and sought to "say their word." Ilya Chashnikov proposed his concept of the relationship of color and form. And Nikolai Suetin systematically developed in his paintings the theme of Suprematist space.

The exhibition will appeal to all fans and researchers of the Russian avant-garde.
