Fantastic world on the canvases of the artist Maya Gusarina "In the Garden of Eden"

YAROSLAVL. Hall for exhibitions named after N. A. Nuzhin invites residents to get acquainted with the work of the artist Maya Gusarina. Her personal exhibition "In the Garden of Eden" opened on January 18th and will be available to visitors on February 10th. The paintings, written by Maya Gusarina, were created in a fantastic style, amazing characters resembling magical dreams appear on her canvases. The magic birds, the beautiful princes who control them, are hand-made, looking like affectionate kittens, leopards.

The love for the creation of these amazing characters originated with the artist in her youth. While studying at the Yaroslavl art school, Maya’s favorite pastime was full-scale sketches - captured portions of life. Later, in the canvases written by the artist, funny minstrels and dancing ladies in old-fashioned hairstyles with letters acquired subtle features of our contemporaries.

Now the artist’s main occupation is work in the icon-painting workshop, but her creative style is still similar to the expression of the woman’s eternal dream of a magical world, the embodiment of love and kindness. In creative circles, Maya Gusarina is known and loved. It’s just that men often do not understand her work, but this is not surprising - men do not have dreams of a noble knight, only women are capable of this. However, this does not prevent Maya’s work from occupying a worthy place in numerous exhibitions, receiving many enthusiastic responses to her work.

Unusual and beautiful paintings by the artist, based on metaphors, took part in foreign exhibitions. Residents of France and Germany managed to get acquainted with her works, and the very first personal exhibition of Maya Gusarina was held in 2002 in Washington. Many of the artist’s works adorned private collections.
