"New Mythology" by Olga Tobreluts at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art

MOSCOW. Within a month, a large-scale exhibition of “New Mythology” will be held in Moscow, compiled on the basis of the works of modern artist Olga Tobreluts. The opening of the much-anticipated exhibition took place on January 24 at the capital’s Museum of Modern Art.

Olga Tobreluts is a unique figure of contemporary Russian art. Having received a good academic education, she was one of the first to feel the need to expand the traditional framework of creativity and turned to the use of computer technology to create large-scale visual works.

Her works are a kind of manipulation with two facets of reality: past and present. By carefully studying the historical past, peering intently at the realities of the present, he creates a comprehensive vision of humanity, with all its beautiful and disgusting sides.
