Beyond the Line conceptual exhibition in the Zverev art center

MOSCOW. On February 8, the BTL exhibition opened, which consists of works by contemporary Russian, German, English and Norwegian artists. Zverev art center continues to pamper its visitors with original projects.

The phrase below the Line is known primarily to modern advertisers who use the experience of “innovative solutions to problems” to create creative, catchy ads. However, for most representatives of the visual arts, who have a higher goal than to cause a “wow effect” to the audience, BTL is, first of all, the search for new ways and means of expressing artistic images and ideas.

The twentieth century was an era of great experimentation for artists - there was a constant struggle for the introduction of new effects, the use of non-traditional forms and materials. For professionals, Art is the same scientific laboratory in which there are both successful experiments and complete failures.

A feature of the exhibition was a format that allows artists to “tell” in detail about their works, explain the essence of their messages. This makes their work closer to ordinary people, far from highly specialized knowledge of painting, drawing, sculpture or other forms of visual creativity.

The basis of the exhibition was the project “Summer Cottages of Artists”, carried out by Zvenigorodets, which demonstrated to the public that it was hiding “outside the line, beyond” the external side of artworks. Understand what depth each author can put into his work!

The exhibition presents the works of the following masters: Karo Krebietke, Tony Higginson, Victor Nikolaev, Annika Hippler, Andrey Ustinov, Alexander Sokolov, Anna Neizvestnova.
