"Women’s Look" - an exhibition of artists of the 80s in the Volgograd Museum

VOLGOGRAD. Museum of Fine Arts. Mashkova presents the exhibition of the capital center "ROSIZO" "Women’s Look". Visitors to the exhibition have the opportunity to get acquainted with paintings painted by Russian women artists who are today recognized worldwide.

The exposition of the exhibition included 42 works, 25 artists were represented, most of which declared itself during the period of the 70-80s of the last century. The names of many of them are well known to lovers of pictorial art - O. Bulgakov and T. Nazarenko, N. Nesterov and E. Romanov, and other equally talented artists.

It is worth noting that all the works presented are of the highest artistic quality. The breadth of genres and the variety of author’s concepts makes it possible to see what the degree of creative activity was, and how great a contribution was made to the development of Russian culture by women artists who worked in the 80s of the past century.

These years, the country’s artistic life is characterized by a huge number of various exhibitions, the half-forgotten names of artists and poets returned, the history of the country was rethought. The art world lived a vibrant and intense life, changing the face of art.

The artists’ search for their own intonations took art beyond socialist realism. It was filled with allegories and associations. For each of the artists whose paintings were included in the exhibition, their own artistic language is characteristic, their painting is characterized by artistry and spirituality. The relationship between man and nature, the problems of love and loneliness - all these topics can be seen in the works of artists.

This exhibition becomes unhurried, full of nostalgia, a journey into the past, which can be completed on March 16th.
