SOVKOM - the largest auction in the half of the year on April 3

April 3, 2014 at 19.00 auction house "SOVKOM" holds an evening auction number 140, the largest in the current half-year. At the auction will be put up 177 lots with a total starting price of more than $ 5 million.

The first section of the auction is Russian lithographs and engravings of the 19th century, which includes a rather rare edition of “The Outfit of the Russian Imperial Army” and vintage photos. The traditional section of the graphic is represented by such names as: A.N. Benoit, M.V. Dobuzhinsky, Yu.P. Annenkov, A.O. Orlovsky, L.D. Gudiashvili, B.M. Kustodiev A.V. Lentulov, I.E. Repin, B.D. Grigoryev, A.A. Deineka, A.V. Shevchenko.

Russian and Western European paintings of the XIX-XX centuries - almost all the lots in this section came from private collections and can pleasantly surprise you with their starting prices.

The unconditional masterpiece and top lot of the auction in the string of Russian classical painting was the work of V.P. Vereshchagin "A welcome meeting." Date of Boyar Morozova with Prince Serebryany ”, painted in 1881-1884, oil on canvas, 92.4x72.9.

This time the section of theatrical and erotic graphics has been expanded. Early work A.V. Shevchenko, 1916, B.D. Grigoriev 1918, B.M. Kustodiev and unconditional rarity - an illustration to the "Gavriliade" AS Pushkina A.A. Deyneki with a fragment of text, this drawing was made by the author in the late 1920s and was donated by the author to a famous art critic from whose collection he entered the auction.

Two very high-quality landscapes by P.I. Petrovicheva "Spring in the Forest" and L.V. Turzhansky "Song of Spring". Both paintings were exhibited at the XI exhibition of the Union of Russian Artists in 1913-1914, and are a classic example of the master’s work, performed at a high professional level, have undoubted museum significance.

One of the sections of the auction is devoted to the Soviet genre picture. Unconditional masterpieces are the works of Yu.I. Pimenova "Illustrations to the book S.Ya. Marshak’s “Good day”, A.A. Deineka Original cover of the book "Our Aviation " ".

Popkov, A.S. Papikyan, A.M. Gritsay, M.G. Abakumov, A.P. Tkachev, S.P. Tkachev, B.S. Ugarov, N.M. Romadin, A.A. Plast. All these names are now in great demand and we are pleased to emphasize that most of these works were bought by us from the authors and presented at the auction either from our funds or by the heirs of artists. The section of non-conformists and neo-academicians is represented by G.P. Egoshin, L.A. Purygin, L.I. Tabenkin, D.P. Plavinsky, M.M. Shemyakin, V.N. Nemukhin, D.M. Krasnopevtsev.
