YAROSLAVL. The exhibition of works by Zurab Tsereteli, which opened in late August at the Museum of Modern Art, was visited by many Yaroslavl fans of the artist. However, its official opening took place only on September 14, when Zurab Konstantinovich arrived in Yaroslavl to personally present his works, selected by him for the exhibition.

In total, the exhibition, entitled "Possible Worlds of Zurab Tsereteli", included 76 works. Most of the exposition consists of paintings and graphics. Small sculptures became an excellent addition to the paintings in the hall. Two sculptures made by Tsereteli in human height greet visitors to the museum at the entrance.

Guests from all over Russia came to meet with the famous master and his works. Among them are famous art critics and ordinary art lovers who did not miss the opportunity to see the work of the legendary sculptor. Some of the works on display are recently completed. For the first time they were seen by residents of Yaroslavl.

Art critics, speaking of Tsereteli’s work, note that in each of the artist’s paintings his character is clearly visible. Tsereteli endowed the characters depicted in his canvases with the cheerfulness characteristic of the southern temperament. This is noticeable in their eyes, appears in the facial features of the heroes of the artist’s paintings.

Art critic Marina Kholodenova is one of the admirers of Zurab Tsereteli’s work. She has long been living in Italy, but specially came to Yaroslavl to get acquainted with the artist’s works. Three months later, Marina will go to Verona with paintings of Tsereteli to present his work there to the Italian public.

In Yaroslavl, “Possible worlds…”, born of the famous artist, are available until February 1.
