Personal exhibition of watercolors by Alexander Terentyev in Nizhny Novgorod

NIZHNY NOVGOROD. The exposition of the personal exhibition of the Nizhny Novgorod artist Alexander Terentyev, which opened on July 7 at the State Museum of the National Economy, contains 65 watercolors by the author at different times. Such a number of watercolors, presented by the artist in the exhibition complex, corresponds to the number of years that have passed since his birth.

Alexander Anatolyevich prepared this exposition for his anniversary. This year, the artist celebrates his 65th birthday. He was born in Nizhny Novgorod in 1952, when the city was still known as Gorky. Alexander Terentyev received his profession as an artist at the art school of his native city, where his first exhibitions were held.

The artist constantly participates in regional, regional and national exhibitions. His watercolors attract the attention of viewers with their poetry and softness. Most of his watercolor works are in the classic genre of watercolor landscapes. The style in which Alexander Anatolyevich writes his watercolors is individual. The individuality gives them an amazing flavor of his works.

His works are filled with the most delicate mother-of-pearl midtones, subtle transitions, the play of chiaroscuro. Finding inspiration in the landscapes of the Nizhny Novgorod Territory and other regions of central Russia, the artist fills them with poetry and philosophy, allowing viewers to look into the secrets of nature with him.

Often Alexander Anatolyevich writes city landscapes. Although Nizhny Novgorod is classified as a metropolitan city filled with bustle, on the watercolors of Alexander Terentyev the city breathes peace and silence. In the exposition you can see sketches of the old city in places left in the past, as well as recognizable architectural monuments.
