Young writers of Russia and Belarus will be connected by the "Friendship Bridge"

MINSK. The Permanent Committee of the Union State announced the launch of the literary competition of young writers "Friendship Bridge". Russian and Belarusian literature aged 18 to 30 years will be able to take part in the competition.

The competition was created with the aim of finding, revealing and supporting young talented writers, drawing their attention to the literary traditions, culture and history of Russia and Belarus, and building the Union State. The organizers strive to discover new names in the literature, as well as assist in the first publication and further promotion of the works of young authors of the two countries.

To participate in the competition, Belarusian and Russian young writers need to send their applications and entries marked “Friendship Bridge” to [email protected] by November 15, 2014. The committee explained that the competition will be accepted previously not participated in other projects and unpublished works of a small literary form - essays, essays, stories. Each participant can send only one literary work written in Russian or Belarusian for the competition.

The Friendship Bridge competition was established by the Union State Standing Committee with the support of the Know Eurasia Association, the National Press Center of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Institute of World Literature. A. M. Gorky.
