Museum of the poet and philosopher Daniil Andreev opened in the Bryansk village

BRYANSK. Last weekend in the village of Chukhrai, Bryansk region, the grand opening of the museum of the writer, philosopher and poet Daniil Andreev took place. It was there that in the 1930s Andreev came up with the idea of writing his famous work “The Rose of the World,” said Ekaterina Pilyutina, press secretary of the Bryansk Forest Reserve, at the opening.

So far, the museum’s fund contains materials about the writer’s residence in the village of Chukhrai, a few books and an exhibition with photographs of Daniil Andreev. “Today’s opening is just the start of a lot of work to create a real museum exposition. In the framework of this work, in the near future we will equip the ecological path “Ways of Daniil Andreev”, create a full-fledged thematic tour, ”said Pilyutina.

The plans also include the regular organization of literary readings, conferences, meetings. In the future, the creators of the museum want to collect a complete library with the works of the writer. The museum’s main exhibit is expected to be the first edition of the religious and philosophical work The Rose of the World, published in 1991.

Recall that in 1947, the writer Daniil Andreev was arrested for the novel “Wanderers of the Night”, recognized as anti-Soviet. It was in prison that the philosopher wrote the main works of his life - these are the works “Iron Mystery”, “Russian Gods” and “Rose of the World”. The last work, in which the author systematically set forth his religious and philosophical teachings, spread for many years in the form of samizdat and only after the collapse of the USSR was it officially officially published for the first time.
