TASHKENT. The anniversary evening, dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the club-museum “Mangalko Yard”, named after Anna Akhmatova, was held yesterday with the support of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Tashkent (RCSC).

He also noted that the “Brazier of Yard” by Akhmatova from the moment of its foundation to this day has been successfully working at the RCSC, while remaining one of the main ascetics in the field of popularizing Russian literature in Uzbekistan.
As part of the anniversary evening, vocal and musical numbers to verses by Akhmatova performed by leading soloists of the Alisher Navoi State Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of Uzbekistan were presented. Also, there were performances by permanent members of the club, Tashkent poets who shared their stories on the history of the museum. So, it turns out that the name of the museum was taken from the first poetic lines written by Anna Akhmatova in the winter of 1942, immediately upon arrival in the evacuation from Leningrad to Uzbekistan.
The poetess lived in Tashkent until May 1944, having managed to create a lot of famous poems, such as “Palmyra”, “Tashkent Blooms”, “Another Lyrical Digression”, “Courage” and others.
