Two bibliomobiles appeared in the Penza region

PENZA. At the disposal of the regional library named after M.Yu. Lermontov city of Penza received bibliomobiles - cars equipped with the latest technology, inside which are shelves with books, an online club for readers and even a mini-cinema. Currently, employees of the cultural institution are preparing for a great book trip to the regions of the region.

Shelves with magazines, books, scientific and reference literature, DVDs for readers of different ages have already been installed on wheels inside the library. The works of Gogol, Lermontov and Pushkin, as well as instructive tales and books promoting a healthy lifestyle took their places on the shelves.

In addition, bibliomobiles are equipped with two laptops, a multifunctional copying device, a screen, a projector, and even a satellite dish. So, if you need access to the Internet, you can do this even in the most remote corner of the region. Such libraries on wheels will not only be a source of information for residents of the region, but will also help in organizing important public and educational events in the region.

“The bibliomobile is a modern achievement for serving readers of remote corners. Where there are no stationary libraries for some reason, this complex will be serviced on schedule. I think this is a very nice gift in the Year of Literature and the year of the 70th anniversary of the Victory for the Penza Region, ”said Marina Osipova, director of the Penza Regional Library named after M. Yu. Lermontov.

Currently, there are only two bibliomobiles in the Penza region: one in the regional library of children and youth, the second in Lermontovka. Specialized machines were purchased by the Government of the Russian Federation as part of the federal target program "Culture of Russia". The cost of one library on wheels is 2 million 300 thousand rubles.
