Nina Dorliak Chamber Singing Competition - The Return of Tradition Automatic translate
MOSCOW. In MGK them. Tchaikovsky ended the I International Chamber Singing Competition named after Nina Dorliak.
The concept of “chamber music” is interpreted by modern listeners unambiguously — vocal or instrumental compositions of small forms performed by a small group or solo in any venues suitable for this purpose. In the Middle Ages, such works were included in the category of “secular art”, which was considered a sinful alternative to religious creativity. Chorales, liturgies, propriums, antiphons and masses were opposed by folklore relying on wireles, ballads, rondos, “May” and “weaving” songs, motets, madrigals, and kachchi.
At the beginning of the last century, as well as over the previous one and a half centuries, chamber music was intended for home music-making and was an integral part of the salon culture. Musical evenings of Count Mikhail Vielgorsky — composer, philanthropist, friend of Pushkin and Gogol, baron, banker, founder of the New Music Society Alexander Ral, major general, violinist and composer Alexei Titov — were very popular among the aristocratic milieu.
A diverse intelligentsia and representatives of bohemia gathered on Wednesdays at the house of the Kukolnikov brothers, in the crowbar of Prince Odoevtsev. At the beginning of the 20th century, one of the most fashionable places was the salon of Zinaida Gippius, who gave life to the genre of salon romance. In Moscow, the House of Song, created by the singer, founder of the Russian school of chamber performance, Maria Olenina-d’Alheim, was engaged in popularizing vocal music.
The Kerzinsky circle played an important role in the propaganda of chamber music, whose active members were Rachmaninov, Cui, Taneyev, Metner, Zabela-Vrubel, Sobinov, d’Alheim. Only here, according to critics, one could hear the magnificent chamber extra-opera music and forever become its fan.
Nina Lvovna Dorliak is one of the best domestic performers of small form works. The first mentor was her mother - Ksenia Dorliak, a former maid of honor of the imperial court, opera singer, teacher. Nina Lvovna made her stage debut in the early 30s, in 1943 her joint performances with Svyatoslav Richter, her husband, began. Shostakovich and Prokofiev trusted Dorliak the first performance of many chamber works. In her interpretation, romances and classics acquired a special depth and penetration. After leaving the stage in the early 60s, she took up teaching. She was depressed by the lack of aesthetic guidelines and vivid traditions that would allow this genre to express itself in full force, a shortage of worthy performers. Sincerely in love with him, able to debunk the myth of his low significance. Those who know how to create a memorable image in a few minutes, convey the finest nuances and touch the hearts of listeners. Those who could replace such vocalists as Zabela-Vrubel, Figner, Nezhdanova Sobinov.
Dorliak was an amazing teacher who appreciated not only vocal abilities in students, but above all her soul. She taught to convey emotions without inappropriately forcing sound. Some of her students were members of the jury of the First International Chamber Singing Competition named after her: Galina Pisarenko, Beatrice Parra from Ecuador, Anegin Ilyin. The winners of the competition were Julia Lyubimova and Said Gobechia. Grand Prix - at Albina Latipova.
