NOVOSIBIRSK. The V Trans-Siberian art festival is held in the largest city of Siberia.

The festival created by Repin, the invitation to it of the best musicians of the planet, the world premieres of remarkable works - akin to a miracle that is achievable if you really want to.

The Trans-Siberian turns the concept of "cultural province" into an anachronism. What kind of periphery can we talk about if Kent Nagano and Clara Jumi Kang, Svetlana Zakharova and Lera Auerbakh, Gidon Kremer and Vladimir Fedoseev, Vladimir Spivakov and Maxim Rysanov are on the stages of concert halls in Novosibirsk and the region?, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Rudolf Buchbinder and Jean-Claude Casadesus.

The main platform of the Trans-Siberian is the Arnold Katz concert hall opened 5 years ago. The first festival, held in 2014, was dedicated to the outstanding conductor. The fifth season program includes dozens of events in Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Tobolsk, Samara, St. Petersburg, Brussels and Tokyo. The closing of the music festival in the capital of Siberia is scheduled for April 2.

At one of the first concerts, the world premiere of the play for two violins with the Koberia chamber orchestra, Alexei Igudesman, composer, violin virtuoso, actor, took place. Very popular among music lovers are his joint performances with Richard Hyung-ki Joo - witty, virtuosic interpretations of famous classical works. The play was performed by Clara-Jumi Kan, Vadim Repin and the South Korean chamber orchestra "Sejon Soloists".

Any festival is always a large number of guests. Participation in a music forum is unthinkable without tools. In the process of preparing for the Trans-Siberian festival, Vadim Repin managed to solve the most difficult problem with regard to hand luggage during air travel. According to the new rules, which were supposed to take effect on 02.15.2018, most of the musicians - violinists, saxophonists, horn players and other perfumes - would have to hand in their instruments or buy a separate seat. The touring and festival activities of most groups and soloists would be in jeopardy. Vadim Repin’s appeal to the government made it possible to adjust new standards in the interests of musicians.
