The new stage version of the beloved "Three Musketeers" on the stage of RAMT

MOSCOW. At the Youth Theater, the premiere of the performance, which is interesting to see the audience of any age, took place. The author’s version of the play “The Musketeers”, directed by the director Andrei Ryklin, looks with interest to spectators of all ages, each in the production finds what he is interested in - he has something to think about, a lot of comedic situations and remarkably set fights and tricks.

Andrei Ryklin has an acting education, but he is also a specialist in the stage movement, as well as the setting of battles. This explains the huge number of battle scenes in the play. The staging was written by the director himself in collaboration with Maria Shutova.

The intrigue is constantly preserved in the performance of the play - the scriptwriters came up with a peculiar course of the play, when the plot unfolds “from the opposite”. That is, first a scene occurs that is the result of previous events, and what caused it is shown only in the next scene.

Despite the peculiar reading of the novel, Andrei Ryklin says that the play primarily tells about love, about true friendship and about rash acts, for which you then have to pay too high a price. It was not possible to do without text abbreviations, but additions appeared.

In costumes and stage design there is no strict correspondence to the era - although the history in them is noticeable, but it can rather be called a stylization on the theme of the time when the heroes of Dumas novels lived. So did the musical accompaniment of the play - the music sounds modern, but in an arrangement that combines with historical baroque. In this form, sounds from the repertoire of the Beatles and Madonna.

D ’Artagnan is played by Dmitry Burukin, who was first entrusted to reincarnate in the theater as the main character.
