"Features of the national marriage" in the embodiment of Peter Belyshkov

MOSCOW. Director Peter Belyshkov December 18 on the stage of the Palace of Culture. Zueva will present the audience with her new work - the play “Features of National Marriage”. The play was based on the plot of a play written many years ago by A. N. Ostrovsky - “Wolves and Sheep”.

Despite the long time spanning from the time when Ostrovsky created this play, little has changed in modern Russia. Her wealth is not only talents and resources. Russian land swindlers always gave birth to a sufficient number too. As in the days of A. Ostrovsky, today the problems of the relationship between people, big money and power are still relevant. The events described in the play could well take place in our days.

The desire to increase their possessions at the expense of neighbors comes to many. However, if it appears in such a powerful and masterful intrigue woman as the landowner Murzavetskaya (her role will be played by Anna Terekhova), then all efforts will be made to put it into practice. The owner of a tidbit, in the form of a neighbor’s estate, a rich and naive widow Kupavina (E. Bledans), may have big problems.

Murzavetskaya is trying to draw poor niece Glafira into her struggle, but she is deeply indifferent to her aunt’s intrigues. The cunning girl has another goal - a profitable marriage. The rich landowner Lynyaev (B, Dolinsky) is perfectly suited for the role of the groom.

A more important role in the seizure of a neighboring estate should be played by an unclean official - Chugunov (A. Buldakov), the manager of Kupavina. Fake letters appear, false bills, intrigues are woven.

The intervention of the ruined landowner Berkutov (L. Yakubovich / P. Belyshkov) becomes the collapse of all plans of Murzavetskaya. As a result, he receives the favor of a rich widow, and with it the money of Kupavina.
