Moscow will host the Velokino film festival

MOSCOW. On December 13, the second Russian festival “Velokino” will open in the Russian capital, the event will be held on the territory of one of the most original venues in Moscow - DI Telegraph coworking.

According to the organizers of the project, the purpose of the Velokino festival of amateur films about bicycles is to support the development of Russian cycling culture and to unite creative young people, directors and representatives of the bicycle industry on one platform. The project is organized by the Public Projects Agency and the Department of Culture of Moscow, as well as the Velokino promotion group.

This year, to participate in the festival, the organizing committee received more than 150 works, in each of which the main role was given to bicycles. The selection of the best films was made in four main categories - advertising (promo), animation, full meter and short meter. Also at the festival are special nominations “BMX” (together with the HellRide sports store), “City” (together with Peugeot Cycles) and the nomination “Best film according to Le Coq Sportif”.

In addition to the main festival program, on this day, viewers can enjoy the screening of cult films, including the CONTACT film by Vladimir Pridorogin and Dmitry Timoshenko, Choosing the Way by Maxim Lebedev, The Spirit of the Wheel by Konstantin Demidenko, NNH. Underdogs ”by Gogi Landau and“ Cherrybomb ”by Alexander Bivol.

Also on this day there will be a screening of short films from participants with a total duration of about five hours, and the festival will end with a solemn award ceremony and a grand disco. The laureates of the festival will receive memorable statuettes and diplomas, as well as valuable prizes from partners and organizers of the event: certificates for the purchase of goods in one of the City Cycle and HellRide stores, a Peugeot CS31 bicycle and an internship at the Fresh Film film company.
