Premiere in the theater. Akimova - "Tales of the Old Arbat" on the anniversary of Valery Nikitenko

ST. PETERSBURG. A wonderful gift was made by the Comedy Theater. Akimov to his artist Valery Nikitenko for the anniversary. On the day of the 75th anniversary, the artist took the stage in the title role of the premiere performance. A wonderful comedy, based on the play by A. Arbuzov, beloved by many viewers, “Tales of the Old Arbat”, was directed by the capital’s director Valery Sarkisov especially for the hero of the day. The premiere was presented to the audience on March 27th.

Valery Nikitenko said in an interview that this play is perfect for the anniversary. It has everything that should be present in a good comedy performance - from laughter and tears to sincere love. The main thing remained - to be able to translate all this on stage. Valery Efremovich was a little shy. His talent and many years of acting experience allows him to create on stage any, most complex image.

Valery Efremovich has been working in the comedy theater since 1962. For the first time, a young actor took to the stage of the theater in a play based on the play “The Dragon” by E. Schwartz. In it, he was the performer of the role of the third dragon head. Over the five decades that have passed since the first appearance on the stage, the artist played more than 120 roles, his talent was assessed as the people’s artist of the Russian Federation.

"Tales of the Old Arbat" directed by Valery Sarkisov surprisingly accurately conveys the atmosphere of the play, filled with nostalgia. His work turned out to be light and elegant, a little mysterious, somewhat similar to the fabulous stories of Eugene Schwartz.

The romantic story of love and rivalry of the puppet master Balyasnikov and his son, to the young girl who appeared in their house, could not leave the audience indifferent to the events taking place on the stage. The ending of the play, which was both sad and touching at the same time, made many people wipe tears from their eyes in the audience.
