The festival of Norwegian shorts will be held in seven cities of Russia

MOSCOW. Short films-participants of the Norwegian International Film Festival in Tromso will be shown in seven cities of Russia. From April 12 to 26, a festival of Norwegian short films will be held in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Murmansk, Apatity, Severodvinsk, Arkhangelsk and Petrozavodsk. Since 1991, the geographical location (beyond the Arctic Circle) and the connection between Norway and Russia have become the hallmark of the festival.

As part of this year’s program, the “northern” cinema invites viewers to look at the incredible life of the people of the North, where the main scenery, as well as a direct participant in all the events, is the untouched harsh nature that tempered the main characters of the paintings. Six short films will be presented to the guests of the festival, in each of which the director in his own way reveals the features of life in the light of a cold polar day and even colder darkness of a polar night.

As part of the Norwegian short films tour, viewers will see the following pictures: Amazons directed by Marianne Ulrichsen, Wander Ken Ken Bongo and Elle Márjá Eira, Winter Cristina Picchi, “Failure” by Andreas Thaulow, “On the Edge” by Aleksander Korsnes and “Divine Magon” by Marja Bål Nango.

In Moscow, the first film screenings, which will be held under the general name “Film from the North: Into the Wild”, will take place on April 12 at the Documentary Film Center. Sessions will be held in Murmansk on April 15 at the Murmansk movie theater, in Apatity on April 16 at the Polyarny movie theater, in Arkhangelsk on April 18 at the Rus movie theater, in Severodvinsk on April 19 at the Rodina movie theater, in Petrozavodsk on April 24 at the Premier movie theater ". The Norwegian short films tour in St. Petersburg will end on April 25 and 26 at the Rodina cinema.
