Theatrical performances from the Donbass republics were first seen by Moscow theater-goers

MOSCOW. On September 19, in the Russian cities, a tour program of theater groups from Lugansk and Donetsk began. The first performances of theaters representing the national republics of Donbass will be seen in the capital. They will show their skills on the stage of one of the leading theaters in Russia - the Moscow Art Theater. Gorky.

In the two days on which the Moscow Art Theater gave its stage to artists from the republics of Donbass, the groups of the musical drama theater from Donetsk and the theater named after Luspekaev, who works in Russian in Lugansk, will be shown four performances. These artists have already managed to see abroad, where they are very often on tour, however, Russian viewers will meet with them for the first time.

In the performance of Lugansk artists, the audience will see a tale for young theater-goers, “The Bunny-Zazayka,” and for the elders, the performance “Flowers”. The always beloved heroes of the musical “Three Musketeers” will appear on the stage of the Moscow Art Theater performed by artists from Donetsk. They will show children a fairy tale about the capricious "Princess and the Pea."

These tours of the Donbass theaters became the first event of the adopted federal program supporting Russian-speaking theaters abroad. Tickets for the performances of such theaters are sold at the lowest price, and stage venues are available at no charge.

The next spectators will be residents of Yaroslavl, where actors of the Donbass theaters will show their art at the Millennium Center. Then the stopping point will be Nizhny Novgorod, the Drama Theater. Gorky. At the end of the tour, both theaters will visit Kazan, where they will meet with spectators on the stage of the theater named after Kachalova.

Thanks to the support program for Russian-language theaters, residents of Siberia will see artists from Tbilisi, theatergoers of Pskov and St. Petersburg will get acquainted with the work of the Russian theater in Estonia.
