In BDT celebrated the creative anniversary of Svetlana Kryuchkova premiere of the play "Player"

ST. PETERSBURG. On November 11 and 12, the first premiere of the current season took place on the main stage of the BDT. Director Roman Markholia and stage designer Vladimir Kovalchuk presented the play “Player” to the St. Petersburg public, staged in honor of the creative anniversary of Svetlana Kryuchkova, who has been shining for 40 years on the stage of the Bolshoi Drama Theater.

The theater’s artist, Andrei Moguchy, speaks of Svetlana Nikolaevna as an amazingly talented and amazingly able-bodied actress. Her creative biography is filled with interesting roles, the performance of which amazes the audience with the ability of the actress to completely transform into her heroines. Svetlana Nikolaevna is always ready to play the most difficult roles, she is not afraid of even the most unexpected proposals of the directors.

The idea of staging the play "Player", which uses the main themes of the novel of the same name by Dostoevsky, belongs to Svetlana Kryuchkova herself. When it came to choosing a play for the anniversary of the actress, Svetlana Nikolaevna came with Andrei Mogolii to Andrei Moguchy with a proposal to create a play based on the “Player”.

The proposal was accepted with pleasure. The result was the appearance in the BDT repertoire of a wonderful performance, where Svetlana Kryuchkova appears on the stage in several roles at once. The actress becomes either a croupier or a reporter, however, the main role in this fantasy on the “Player” theme is extravagant Granny.

This is a wealthy landowner who came to the resort town of Ruletenburg, where her heirs are waiting for the death of Babulenka. Around her condition, serious passions have already flared up there. The performance is filled with choreographic and musical numbers, the characters perform famous foreign hits. The song from the repertoire of the Rammstein group sounds originally performed by Svetlana Kryuchkova.
