The Theater of Ice Miniatures led by Igor Bobrin celebrated his anniversary with a creative evening

MOSCOW. “We are 30 years old…” - under this name, the artists of the Ice Miniature Theater on January 13 presented a magnificent ice show dedicated to their anniversary. Barely born, the team, led by the talented master of figure skating Igor Bobrin, conquered with his performances first the whole country, and then the whole world. No wonder foreign viewers gave the Igor Bobrin Theater the title deserved by its artists - “Big on Ice”.

This unique collective became the first theater in the world where figure skating was not the usual demonstrations that make up the ice show program. Igor Bobrin turned sports popular with millions of viewers into a synthesis of theatrical art with ice ballet. A completely new genre has appeared in the theater world, delighting not only the audience, but also eminent critics.

The names of the artists who worked in the Theater are known throughout the world. During their sports career, they received the most prestigious awards, becoming champions of the USSR, Europe, and the Olympic Games. All three decades of the theater’s work, Natalia Bestemyanova and her partner Andrei Bukin decorate his performances with their craftsmanship.

This famous couple has repeatedly visited the highest steps of world fame, and now they are the leading soloists of the Igor Bobrin Theater. When staging performances, the latest lighting and sound equipment is used, colorful sets and unique costumes are prepared for each staging. Having been to any of the performances, the audience goes astounded by the sight they saw.

At their anniversary evening, held at the Russian Song Theater, the artists showed the best fragments from their famous performances, and also listened to congratulations from their friends and sports colleagues - Tatyana Tarasova and Tamara Moskvina.
