The performance of "Ramona" opened in St. Petersburg large tour of the Puppet Theater Rezo Gabriadze

ST. PETERSBURG. Immediately after the end of the tour in Moscow, the famous director Rezo Gabriadze, together with his puppet masterpieces, which are full-fledged actors of the Puppet Theater, arrived in St. Petersburg. The St. Petersburg tour, the Georgian master began to celebrate his 80th birthday, with which he will be congratulated in the summer.

The first touring performance by fans of Rezo Gabriadze’s creativity was seen on March 27 on the new stage of Aleksandrinka. The audience was captivated by the story of the amazing love of two locomotives, told in the play “Ramona”. Last year’s tour of the Gabriadze Theater took place with crowded rooms.

Many of those wishing to get acquainted with the unique work of the director were not able to attend the performances, then this year each production will be shown several times. The day before the start of the tour program, a meeting was held with Rezo Gabriadze, which took place in the lobby of the new Alexandrinki stage.

The meeting began with kind words addressed to the guest by Valery Fokin, director of the Alexandria Theater. The director called Rezo Gabriadze not just a guest, but a longtime friend who has done a lot for the world of theater art. The Georgian master is a real knight, who made it possible to communicate across the borders in the language of the theater. The head of Aleksandrinka concluded his greeting with a wish for success to Georgian artists.

Rezo Gabriadze spoke of St. Petersburg as a city close to him, where he worked a lot on new performances. One of the productions created in St. Petersburg was included in the tour program. The performance "Stalingrad" has received worldwide recognition, the theater Rezo Gabriadze will show St. Petersburg audience four nights in a row.
