In total, participants in the Slavic Theater Meetings represent eleven cities. Most of the theater groups brought to the festival works of classical drama. Irina Drokhanova, overwhelmed by the Bryansk drama, noted that it is impossible to imagine a Russian repertoire theater without classics. However, the festival poster also has modern drama.

The participants of the festival, present at its opening, were welcomed by Alexander Korobko, deputy. governor of the Penza region. He emphasized the increasing popularity of the festival and wished success to all the theaters that arrived in Penza. Alexander Korobko recalled that the opening festival is dedicated to the anniversary of the Bryansk drama, celebrating its 90th anniversary.
