ST. PETERSBURG. Riga artists again became guests of St. Petersburg. Last year, the Russian Theater. Chekhov showed on the stage of the St. Petersburg Musical Comedy Theater the magnificent performance "Hanuma", staged in Riga by Alla Sigalova. The friendship that started between the St. Petersburg Musical Comedy and the Latvian team during last year’s tour continues today. For three nights, the artists of the theater. Chekhov will show the best performances on the stage of Petersburg friends. This year the touring repertoire of Riga artists consists of plays dedicated to love.

The tour program began with the performance "Fro", staged at the theater. Chekhov Petersburg director Ruslan Kudashov. The basis of the production was the touching novel by Andrei Platonov, which many researchers consider the writer to be autobiographical.

In the play, which was shown on November 1 as a woman longing for separation from her husband, the audience saw actress Ekaterina Frolova. Sharing impressions after the performance, the audience called the work of Riga artists a real art. In the Riga Russian theater, this production was the first appeal to the work of Platonov.

The next two nights, the Riga tour will be continued with another play telling about love. In the play "Mixed Feelings", written by the American playwright Richard Baer, viewers will see the leading actress of the Riga Theater Galina Rossiyskaya. Her stage partner will be Gennady Khazanov, a folk artist who does not need to be introduced to the audience.

In Riga, the performance has been going on for a year and a half in a hall filled to capacity.
