International festival "Earth. Theater. Children"

The first week of July in Yevpatoria for the 23rd time will be one of the leading children’s theater festivals in Russia - the International Festival "Earth. Theatre. Children".

The performances of 20 groups from two countries of the European Union, various regions of Russia and the Donetsk People’s Republic were included in the program of the XXIII International Festival “Earth. Theatre. Children". Among them are professional, children’s, and educational theaters of specialized universities of the country.

The opening and closing ceremonies of the festival will traditionally be held in the open air: thousands of spectators, a colorful theatrical show, performances by the organizers and guests of the festival, unforgettable fireworks. On July 1, the hosts of the stage will rightfully open the festival. For the first time in Russia, children actors will show a children’s musical dedication to their hometown - the play "Evpatoria, I love you!". It will feature hits from hand-drawn cartoons and songs written about Evpatoria, one of which is the rap composition “I am very sorry for those who have not been to Evpatoria” to the verses of Vladimir Mayakovsky. The basis for the video design of the performance are drawings of Yevpatoria children artists. The performance will be included in the main repertoire of the theater, but on July 1, the Golden Key children’s theater will play it for free for residents and guests of Yevpatoriya on the city’s small festival square.

Poster "Z. T. D-2018 ”includes various performances in the genre and style plans. The theaters of St. Petersburg, Tallinn (Estonia), Klaipeda (Lithuania), Samara, Chelyabinsk, Orel, Moscow, Kazan, Sevastopol, Yevpatoriya and others will present to the court of professional expert council and children’s jury more than 20 performances staged on classical and contemporary works, in genres: theatrical eccentric, detective, verbatim, drama, clowning, musical thriller.

This year, participants and guests of the festival will have a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the work of such famous groups as the Russian Academic Youth Theater, the Yekaterinburg Theater of Young Spectators, the Sevastopol Academic Russian Drama Theater named after A.V. Lunacharsky. The program includes the performance of the Yekaterinburg Youth Theater "Kashtanka" - laureate of the Russian national theater prize "Golden Mask".

This year, the forum will be attended by representatives of the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation, the Moscow Theater "Et Cetera" under the direction of Alexander Kalyakin, the theater named after E.B. Vakhtangov, Theater Institute. B. Schukin, VGIK them. S. A. Gerasimov, Samara State Institute of Culture, Oryol State Institute of Culture, Tula Regional College of Culture and Art.

A creative laboratory will operate within the framework of the festival, where actors, directors and teachers of theatrical universities of the country will exchange experiences, conduct master classes, workshops and creative meetings.

Seven days of the holiday are full of surprises. For the first time, the festival “Earth. Theatre. Children "will hold two away actions:" Z. T. D ”in Sevastopol and“ Z. T. D ”at the Artek International Children’s Camp. Festivals will go on a tour of Evpatoria on double-decker buses.

On the closing day of the festival, a solemn rewarding of the festival participants will take place and the names of Oleg Permyakov Prize winners in the field of theater art will become known. Theaters, directors and teachers from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, Bulgaria, Lithuania and Estonia became its laureates. This year the Prize will be awarded for the 15th time.

The festival is held with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of the Republic of Crimea and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea, the Evpatoria City Council and the administration of the city of Evpatoria.
