RAMT closed the 97th season in Yevpatoriya

The Russian Academic Youth Theater closed its 97th theater season in the hot Crimea, performing a full house performance at the XXIII International Festival “Earth. Theatre. Children".

The chamber performance “The Magic Ring” based on the tale of Boris Shergin directed by Alexander Khukhlin, the star cast of RAMT, sparkling humor and improvisation, pies and frog fight prevailed over all the usual theatrical canons. The hall exploded with laughter and applause. Breathed with the artists in the same air of freedom. Become an accomplice in a game without rules. In the Pomeranian version of the story about the magic ring, Vanya (Ivan Vorotnyak) spoke in the words of Shakespeare, Vanina’s mother (Anna Kovaleva) was eager to sell pies jumping out of the miracle furnace right on the stage of the Golden Key, on Tereshkova embankment, and Tsarevna (Lyudmila Pivovarova) in the audience she found her mother, who by chance turned out to be Tatyana Grantovna Nikolskaya, a member of the festival’s expert council, press secretary of the Union of Theater Workers of Russia and the head of the literary part of the Moscow theater “Et Cetera” under the direction of Alexan Dr. Kalyagina. And that’s not all. In these festival hot and culturally rich festival days, the successor to the famous acting dynasty Polina Vitorgan made her debut as the Snake and Vanina’s bride. According to the actress, this is not her only debut - Polina first visited Evpatoria, at the theater festival “Earth. Theatre. Children, "and for the first time… I tried oysters. Can seaside oysters be able to conquer Muscovites - this is one question, but here the Yevpatoria festival can certainly! RAMT artists, who played two performances with a full house, did not let go of the applauding audience for a long time unanimously: “Thank you!”, “Well done!” And “Bravo!”.

The performance “The Magic Ring” directed by Alexander Khukhlin is a laureate of the National Theater Award “Golden Mask”, a special award of the jury of the Drama Theater, based on the results of the XXIII International Festival “Earth. Theatre. Children ”was awarded in a special nomination“ For excellence and outstanding achievements in the field of theater art ”. Anna Kovaleva ("Best Actress") and Ivan Vorotnyak ("Best Actress") for the roles of Vanya and his mother were awarded with diplomas of laureates. In recent years, the main youth theater of Russia showed in Yevpatoria the performances “Fearless gentleman”, “Tales just in case” and “How the cat walked, wherever he wants”, where he was awarded the Oleg Permyakov Prize in the field of theater art - the main award of the festival.
