Basic and additional equipment for drainage systems

Each public or residential building is equipped with a sewer system that legalizes human waste products and removes used water resources. Analog complexes are also installed in production, but regardless of the nature of liquid waste, water disposal requires engineering design, which takes into account hydraulic conditions and operational needs, including the need for the outflow of rain and melt water. If you need to reduce the cost of communication equipment, then you can combine household and industrial systems, but only if this does not contradict technical and sanitary standards.

Units and components of modern drainage systems

With some differences, hydraulic structures are built according to the general principle and are assembled from stainless steel elements:

• a wastewater receiver that collects and transmits reserves further along the network;
• a hydraulic shutter that prevents gases from entering domestic premises;
• pumping or transfer units, if the system itself cannot cope with the discharge;
• gutters, which are the finishing component of indoor and outdoor complexes;
• purification plants where contaminated masses undergo primary treatment.

The location of the elements of the internal drainage system , their number and configuration depend on the depth of the external network and the type of technological process that is used in a particular case.

Additional equipment for internal drainage systems

Sewer outlet complexes can have non-standard modifications, for example, in public utility companies such as bathhouses, dry cleaners and laundries, they have a clear division into stormwater, industrial and domestic compartments. The second options are additionally equipped with the following types of equipment:

• flotators acting on chemistry;
• biological cleaners;
• grease traps;
• thermal units.

These devices will be relevant for enterprises such as bottling shops, catering establishments, pharmaceutical production and much more. The exception is special and medical institutions, where installations with special disinfecting properties are used as additions.

Plumbing devices as a contact part of the drainage system

Appliances and plumbing fixtures can also be included in the sewer system - these are bathtubs, sinks, toilets and floor trays. They are continued in drain holes and pipes with dosing valves, which are transport for waste. In turn, this part of the system is equipped with ventilation shafts, risers and siphons, whose task is the dynamic and uninterrupted operation of the internal sewage system. It is controlled using a rotary or check valve, which allows water to pass through and, if necessary, retains it vertically.
